PATIENT POSITIONING: prone or supine (with contra-lateral sandbag and table tilted). The opposite foot & ankle should be palpable (simply through the drapes) to allow comparison of Achilles tendon resting tension.

TOURNIQUET: Thigh at 300mmHG

ANAESTHESIA: General

NERVE BLOCK: Ankle block / local infiltration

KIT REQUIRED: Arthrex Biotenodesis screw, soft tissue pack
