Note that even with the core Kessler type suture(2 Fibre wire suture)under tension and tied there exists a considerable gap in the Achilles.The plantaris is intact(2)but not much help.The graftjacket(1) is laid over the defect(3).Its deep surface is placed onto and into the defect and sewn in.
