A padded L shaped bar (3) needs to be attached to the table with a bracket(2) that allows no rotation when the thigh is pulled against it. It should be positioned so that contact is with the posterior thigh(5)and not the popliteal fossa and well padded(4). The Smith & Nephew Acuflex bracket(1) is positioned and attached.
