Ankle arthroscopy-The Linvatec trocar and sheath
The trocar and sheath for the scope are passed along the same tract. Generally a long
2.9 mm diameter Linvatec Ankle arthroscope is used( Linvatec quicklatch scope).
In this illustration a standard Knee scope is in use. This may damage the joint surfaces and is generally only used for arthroscopically assisted ankle fusion.
