PATIENT POSITIONING: supine

TOURNIQUET: thigh

ANAESTHESIA: General

NERVE BLOCK: Femoral and sciatic

KIT REQUIRED: DePuy mobility ankle replacement, Lambotts and Hibs osteotomes, medium sized laminar spreader with smooth broad tips, fine bone nibblers, back cutting spinal rongeurs, large round nosed periosteal elevator.

Saw blades: Narrow single sided reciprocating blade (DePuy), Long graduated oscillating blade (DePuy), "Fanned out" oscillating blade (micoAire).
