Mobility ankle replacement-An anterior window is cut
The hole drilled is filled with a 4.5mm peg(1), stabilising the jigs. Using the graduated oscillating saw blade (2) an anterior window is cut. It is worth taking the time to ensure a crisp cut with the blade kept in contact with and parallel to the jig. The depth is determined by the size of tibial componant selected and is marked upon the saw blade. The anterior to posterior slots in the tibial template(3) prevent cutting through the posterior cortex but do not jig the correct depth to cut to .
