Mobility ankle replacement-The talar cutting block
Having removed the tibial jig and its attached intial talar jig the talar cutting block(1) is slid onto the two previously positioned pins. The best saw blade to use for this cut is the microaire(not included on the set). Care needs to be taken to keep the blade flat on the block to ensure a cut which corresponds to the upper surface of this jig.Check this visually once the dorsal talus is removed.
