PATIENT POSITIONING: supine with calf on padded sterile bowl, sandbag under ipsilateal buttock

TOURNIQUET: Thigh, 300mmHG

ANAESTHESIA: General

NERVE BLOCK: Ankle block or femoral and sciatic

KIT REQUIRED: Large AO reciprocating saw blade and power driver, Hibs and Lambotts osteotomes, McDonalds, DePuy Ace cannulated large fragment screws,laminar spreader (narrow tipped).
