PATIENT POSITIONING: Supine with ipsilateral sandbag and padded bowl beneath calf to ensure neutral alignment

TOURNIQUET: thigh

ANAESTHESIA: general

NERVE BLOCK: Femoral and sciatic

KIT REQUIRED: DePuy Ace large fragment screws, Large power driver, large single sided reciprocating saw, fine lambotts osteotomes, Small oscillating saw, large round nosed periosteal elevator
